How to get rid of muscle pain/bruises from fitness & exercise!?

I do alot of strenght training exercise which involves my whole body... It also cause nasty bruises and they really hurt!! How can I made them less painful for when I have work???... The more my muscles ache the more tired I feel.. Which is no good when you do 12hr night shifts?? Any ideas I feel like I've been hit my a bus!!!
