Generally is the Nissan Sunny FB14 second hand a good car for a first car?

I need to buy a second hand (if not 3rd) NIssan Sunny FB14 ex-saloon car but am getting different opinions about it. Some people are saying its good some are saying its not, so am now confused. I have asked two independent professional mechanics and they both gave me conflicting answers about the car as a 2nd hand. Anyone to give me more light, would appreciate?
