Guys why would you do this to a girl?

first of all you failed at making it short. second, it sounds like he liked you but was being an immature 14 year old and decided it would be more fun to shoot you than to develop a relationship with you. anyway, it sounds like he lost interest or still doesnt know how to grow a pair and tell you he likes you too.
